noviniti is excited to announce the completion of our latest project with the NHS
As part of a major investment, noviniti has partnered with South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and One Retail, Compass Group & Ireland’s retail sector, to transform the staff, patient and visitor experience at Warwick Hospital.
Yesterday, the doors opened to the ground floor of the new three-storey elective hub, creating a new main pathway into the hospital. The ground floor features new reception and retail facilities, plus a staff and visitor restaurant. The retail offer includes a first-to-market hybrid Marks & Spencer and Costa Coffee, seamlessly combining trusted quality, café experience and familiar high street brands. The outlet operates a single till system and integrated digital ordering, with smart fridges allowing 24/7 access to food and drinks.
The wider hospital project represents a significant investment in sustainable, accessible services while transforming the look, feel and flow of the hospital. As part of the Trust’s estate strategy, the new main entrance will pave the way for a dedicated facility to expand clinical activity in the next phase, creating an elective hub that separates planned care from emergency services.
Jonathan Houlston, noviniti CEO, said:
“We are delighted to see the doors to the new main entrance open. noviniti has been working with South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust to support their transformation strategy, and together with One Retail, this development will greatly enhance the staff, patient and visitor experience.”
Sophie Gilkes, Chief Strategy Officer at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“Our Trust is committed to transforming Warwick Hospital into a modern, high-quality healthcare environment delivering sustainable, accessible and patient-centred care.
“The new main entrance marks a key milestone in Phase One – improving visitor experience, wayfinding and amenities. Partnering with One Retail and noviniti strengthens our food and retail offer, alongside the new restaurant.
“We are set to complete the upper floor fit-out to create two new wards in Winter 2026/27, paving the way for Phase Two to expand clinical capacity and reduce waiting times.”
Andrew Jones, One Retail Managing Director, said:
“This is another first for One Retail. We’ve harnessed two brilliant partnerships to create a hybrid, blended approach. This innovative retail solution maximises space, bringing together two high street favourites to guarantee choice and quality. We’re proud to have played a part in transforming Warwick Hospital for all.”
