Northampton General Hospital
Improving staff, patient and visitor experience.
Recent developments in which noviniti are engaged include the new main entrance and reception at Northampton General Hospital. The first phase of the project is an extensive infrastructure works improvement package including the diversion of the existing road and changes to car parking areas. The project enables the construction of the New Intensive Trauma Unit which the main entrance facility links to.
The second phase sees the creation of the 9400ft2 new main entrance which has been designed to be a focal point for the hospital. Working in partnership with Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust and our partners Catfoss, Seddons and Compass Group UK&I, the new main entrance realises the Trust’s vision of improving the staff, patient and visitor experience. A new concourse will guide people through the main entrance to a welcoming and dynamic reception area as well as providing modern new facilities for staff, visitors and patients. The main entrance will be furnished with recognised high street brands including M&S Simply Food, Costa Coffee and Subway, all of which are ideal for the healthcare environment.

“We are really excited to be building a new entrance to the hospital site to provide a better experience for our staff, patients and visitors. This new space will provide us with more space than our existing entrance and means that we can also offer a new range of retail outlets for people to enjoy.”
“These plans have been in progress for a long time so it’s incredibly exciting to see the building work starting on site and to be able to share the plans with our community”
