Installed on site over a single weekend

Established in 1984, Milton Keynes University Hospital had expanded to such an extent that the original entrance facility was no longer a focal point for staff, patients and visitors. The Trust realised the need for a modern, contemporary workplace that would help toward high levels of staff retention along with the provision of much needed retail, convenience and café facilities for the hospital. The solution had to be delivered in a timely manner, within budget and with minimum disruption to daily activities on the hospital site.

A bespoke new entrance facility was designed providing a sleek external look that reflects a modern, progressive and constantly evolving hospital. The 10,000ft2 facility was installed on site over a single weekend and nine weeks later was opened to the public following internal fit-out. The New Main Entrance building includes a reception lobby and desk, waiting area, public wash-rooms, outpatients self check-in together with an 80 seat Costa Coffee, 36 seat Subway and a Little Fresh convenience store.
