Lister Hospital Reaches Major Milestone With Topping Out Ceremony

Last week we were proud to attend the Topping Out Ceremony at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, celebrating the progress of the new 1,848sqm, three-storey Main Entrance and Trust Administration facility.

noviniti were joined by representatives from East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust, along with our construction partner Goldbeck, JCA, and One Retail (Compass Group UK & Ireland), to mark this significant milestone and recognise the collective effort of everyone involved.

The new Main Entrance, located alongside the multi-storey car park, will connect directly to the hospital’s main internal thoroughfare. The ground floor will introduce a vibrant retail hub, including a Co-op convenience store and Costa Coffee lounge, helping to create a welcoming, modern environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

The existing entrance lobby will also be refurbished, featuring a new reception area, Peabodys Coffee, and The Stock Shop. The two upper levels of this new building will provide dedicated new administration floors for the Trust. With the roof now complete, the project has reached its full structural height.
