Lister Hospital Construction Update

Significant progress has been made on the new main entrance development at Lister Hospital in Stevenage. Despite the very difficult weather conditions at the start of the year, the foundations are complete and the installation of the precast concrete panel system is well underway.

Following the recent arrival of a crane on site the ground floor components have been lifted into place, and the building is really starting to take shape. The installation of the first-floor planks represent another major milestone, creating the platform for the upper-level office accommodation and bringing the three-storey building closer to its full structural form.

Seeing the development take shape so quickly is especially encouraging on a live hospital site, where careful planning and coordination are essential to maintaining safety and minimising disruption.
